Lithia Springs High School’s marching band made an impressive mark at this year’s Jaguar Classic, showcasing exceptional talent and teamwork. Competing against various schools, our students not only demonstrated their skills, but also brought home a plethora of awards, solidifying their reputation in the band community.
Our Drum Major, Layla Lazo, led the band with excellence, achieving a Superior rating for her performance. This level of recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication that has gone into preparing for this competition. In addition, Layla also won first place drum major in our class!
Our Color Guard team also excelled, earning a first place in their class. Their choreography and visual performance captivated the audience, highlighting the creativity and commitment of the performers.
In addition, our talented dancers secured second place in their class, showcasing their grace and precision. Their performance was a crowd favorite and contributed significantly to the overall excitement of the event.
Our percussion section placed third in their class, impressing judges with their rhythmic complexity and synchronization. Their hard work was evident, and they played a crucial role in the band’s overall success.
Overall, the band itself achieved a commendable third place in Class A, demonstrating a strong, cohesive performance that resonated with both judges and spectators.
Adding to the excitement, our band was awarded the Spirit Award, recognizing the enthusiasm and school pride displayed throughout the competition. This award reflects not only the talent of the students, but also the supportive community that stands behind them.
