Science Fair Winners 2025

We are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our talented students in this year’s Douglas County science fair! Second place winners, Savannah Brooks and Julie Cardenas impressed the judges with their innovative project, "The Smart Pot," demonstrating exceptional teamwork and scientific ingenuity. Their engineering project of a self-sustaining watering planter tackled the constant need to water plants to ensure survival, earning them well-deserved recognition. Third place winner Oluwafemi Balogun showcased remarkable creativity and problem-solving skills with his project "DigiGo: A Step Towards Smarter Indoor Navigation." which explores the functionality of guiding students through the hallways of a high school. Oluwafemi's dedication and hard work made a lasting impact on both judges and fellow participants.

Both of these projects will advance to the West Georgia Regional competition held at the University of West Georgia. Congratulations to these brilliant young minds for their accomplishments! Their passion for science and engineering is truly inspiring. We can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
