Science Fair - Regional

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at this year’s West Georgia Regional Science and Engineering Fair. They have punched their tickets to the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Athens, GA from April 3-5, 2025. These students’ dedication, creativity, and scientific curiosity were on full display as they presented innovative projects across various categories of engineering, computer science, health science, and social science. Special congratulations to Naomi Wood (project: Beating Hearts), Savannah Brooks and Julie Cardenas (team project: The Smart Pot), and Oluwafemi Balogun (project: DiGiGo-A Smart Way to School). These three projects received blue ribbons indicating first place awards for their projects. Afia Adade received third place for her project on the Psychological Effects of Gun Violence on Youth. Although she will not advance to state competitions, we are proud of her placement and research she put into her project. These students have demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for discovery. We are incredibly proud of all participants and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next. Keep reaching for the stars, future scientists!
